Though it can be a little tougher to find beauty in the city, the city is surrounded by beauty. These hills remind me of western NC... Though in NC we would call them mountains. If you call these mountains here, you will get laughed at here. These people know what REAL mountains look like! But for all my Blue Ridge and Appalachian friends, NC's "mountains" are still mountains to me.
After yesterday's post on getting mail... look what we got!!! (Actually, look what Ben got... we all get excited about mail, though, no matter whose it is!)
Today's picture was harder to choose. I mean, I could post the picture of the temple down the street and to the left of our home, or the one down the street and to the right, or the one just a little farther down... Either direction... Or how about the big Buddhist temples called stupas... In other words, there are just about as many temples, shrines, and idols as there are people in this country. So I just picked one...
There is just something so exciting about getting mail of any kind here. It is more than just mail... It is more than just a package. It is a taste of the familiar. The sights, the smells... Mail says, "We remember you." It is like being a child on Christmas morning. It feels like the wonder and beauty of the first snow of the season.
I intentionally combined these two days... and you are getting WAY more than one picture!
