I am not a "from scratch" girl... Actually I am pretty domestically challenged. But since we have moved to a place that doesn't have many seasoning packet or boxed meal options, I have seriously improved my culinary skills. What really surprised me is that tonight I made my first homemade chili without a chili seasoning packet and without canned tomatoes... And it was the best chili we have ever had!

Every day for the next forty days, share a picture. Feel free to be creative! Explain the pictures if you want or leave it wordless with the caption as the topic of the day. Here are the topics for each day:
Years ago, I worked at a shoe store. At first I had the job of operating the loud, annoying microphone to announce deals throughout the store. I was given a very specific job description... I even had the title of "mic person." Then, they needed a cashier. My job title and description changed a little, but it was made very clear what my job was. I was to run the register and occasionally between customers announce deals over the speaker. The job was pretty easy to keep up with because I knew exactly what was expected of me.
Before Jason and I got married, we had a bridal shower. I was more shy and quiet back then... And also very ignorant of many things. At the shower, the room was filled with ladies and gifts. Each gift bag was handed to me one by one. I wasn't really sure how to react to each gift, so I smiled a lot and said thank you many times. I was so nervous and hated being the center of attention. But these ladies had invested time and money into each of these gifts. Their goal was to be a blessing to me and to Jason. It was their way of helping our marriage succeed.
