There is an old saying... when life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

Well, for us... when life gives you monsoon... Play in the rain!

Sometimes you just gotta play in the rain… you just gotta make sure you aren’t standing in sewer water when you do. No joke!

Monsoon seems to have made an early appearance this year. It has been raining everyday… sometimes very heavily! So what do we do? Whine and complain about it raining everyday? Well, if we do that, the next three months are going to be really long and miserable! Instead, we throw on our rain gear and go about our daily business.

Our yard is a swimming pool! We looked outside and found our kids playing in the large puddles. Obviously the water doesn’t bother them! Chief and MoMo seem to love our new lake, too. I think we will name our new lake… hmmm… Lake Ratatouille. If you know our recent rat adventures and if you have seen the movie Ratatouille, you will appreciate the humor.

By the way, we just now caught another rat...

Our wet dogs...

And just a hilarious picture of our rat demon dog, Chief...
