  • Scripture References
All Scripture references are taken from the King James version of the Bible.

1 Peter 3:7 “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Can you imagine the husband, the spiritual leader of the home, the head of the house… and his prayers hindered? Can you picture him trying to lead his family and make important decisions… and his prayers are not being heard? Can you imagine him in ministry, seeking the Lord’s will… and hearing nothing from Heaven? Can you imagine him needing help and wisdom… and his prayers get no higher than the ceiling?

What a scary thought! We need the Lord! Our homes need His guidance. Our ministries need His wisdom. Husbands need to hear from God and need His strength, power, provision, and guidance. But access to those things are cut short by husbands having a wrong relationship with the wife.

So what does this have to do with mae as a wife? I WANT Jason to have a wonderful prayer life! I want His fellowship with the Lord to be intimate and sweet! Our whole family depends on it! So how can I help? I can help by doing my part in making sure our relationship is right. I cannot control how my husband treats me. I cannot control his choices, but I can make it as easy as possible by being the right kind of wife.

Be easy to know. Communicate well!

Be an honorable woman.

Be receptive when he tries to help me as the weaker vessel.

Seek to help him as my brother in Christ, my joint heir.

And pray pray pray for him
